The insider’s guide to crafting cafe-level brunch, lunch and bakes at home.
Ever wondered how your go-to coffee shop makes their scones so fluffy or how to recreate the chicken shawarma as served in your favourite cafe?
Of course you have. So did we, which is why we thought there was an opportunity to create a cookbook of killer recipes from some of the best speciality coffee shops and cafes in the UK.

The background
As publishers of the Indy Coffee Guides, we’re chums with the movers and shakers of the UK’s speciality coffee scene so we knew who to talk to. And, as a result of numerous coffee research trips across the UK, we’ve sunk our teeth into some exceptional baked goods and banging brunches so we were confident we could curate a pretty good collection of recipes.
‘Recipes from some of the best cafes in the UK’

Working with independent cafes featured in the Indy Coffee Guides, we created a concept that showcased stonking dishes and introduced the people who’d crafted them.
We edited the recipes, sourced and took original photography, designed the layout and finished the books a delicious soft-touch wipeable cover.
Second helpings
The first edition of the cookbook was so well received that we published a second volume. Both are available from good bookshops, the cafes featured, and the Indy Coffee Guide website.
