All-action quarterly magazines and annual yearbook
We’ve produced Army Cadets Magazine for the Ministry of Defence since 2018, and its accompanying yearbook since 2019. They’re all-action publications aimed at Army Cadets across the UK and the adult volunteers who work in the organisation.
Since we started publishing the print and digital magazine, we’ve had the opportunity to interview some of the most incredible adventurers such as Bear Grylls and Bond stunt double Andy Torbet, meet world-class big wave surfer Andrew Cotton and ice-marathon runner and TV hero Jordan Wylie, and pay tribute to the lifetime work of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Our brief was to reinvent the previous magazine and create an informative and entertaining read. Shortly after we relaunched the magazine, it was shortlisted for Best Membership Publication in the PPA Awards.
Army Cadets’ former head of media and communications Jack Cavilla, who commissioned Salt Media to undertake the publishing of this membership magazine, said: ‘Working with Salt Media on the new-look Army Cadet magazine was an absolute pleasure. The team brought fresh new ideas to the magazine, exciting page design and engaging written content. Salt Media’s energy and appetite to deliver a magazine that inspires our cadets and volunteers is infectious.’
Following the success of the new Army Cadet Magazine, the Ministry of Defence asked us to create an annual yearbook for the organisation.
Since 2019, we’ve published four volumes of the Army Cadet Yearbook. The books are chunky A4-sized softbacks – with soft-touch cover and spot lamination for extra zing – crammed full of inspiring, adventurous and useful content.
The books are available via bookshops and direct from Army Cadets online shop
