Our flagship title, Food Magazine, has evolved into Food Lifestyle, a quarterly publication and multi-platform experience championing the best places to eat, drink, stay and shop in the region
In 2003 we launched the first local food magazine in the UK. It covers the South West – from Cornwall to the Cotswolds – and, 200 issues later, is still the South West’s favourite magazine for discerning foodies who are as interested in the provenance of what they eat as they are in the best places to dine.
As tastes and trends evolve, so too does publishing, and from spring 2024 Food Magazine is evolving into Food Lifestyle – a beautiful quarterly bookazine revealing the best places to eat, drink, stay and shop in the South West each season. The new title reflects its reach beyond just food to all the lovely lifestyle things our readers enjoy.
The print publication will be complemented by a new incarnation of the Food website, which will provide town and area guides, curated weekends away, day‑trip ideas, the best restaurants, special places to stay, and quality retail and lifestyle experiences, organised by location as well as genre. All will have great food, style and hospitality at their heart.
The Food Reader Awards will continue to shine a spotlight on the South West’s food, drink and hospitality talent. Each year, the awards receive tens of thousands of votes from dedicated readers who rally behind their favourite local chefs, restaurants, cafes, hotels, drinks, indie shops and more. To reflect the next generation of the magazine, the 2024 awards will feature fresh categories and the one-of-a-kind ceremony will be held at a fabulous new venue.
